RED FACED

I know I already blogged today- is there even a limit on bloggs per day? This was too funny to wait and I actually down loaded the pic's on my own. Here's the story:
Kirsten got grounded from friends for the day today - they didn't have school which made for a VERY long day for both her and me! Anna went to a friends and I had errands to run so I left Kirst home alone. I told her I would be back in an hour and then we would go grocery shopping. While I was gone she called me 5 times (I missed all five calls, I really need a louder ring tone) so on my way home I checked to make sure everything was all right. She was fine and asked when I would be home. I was practically around the corner so I told her to get ready to go shopping.
I pulled in the garage and ran inside to go to the bathroom. I yelled for Kirst to get in the car with Lilly and I would be right out.
I got into the burb and did a seat belt check by merely calling out "seatbelts?!" And then I put my arm over the back of the passenger seat to look behind me as I backed out and there she was in all of her glory : "WHAT THE?!" The close up is for you to really appreciate the art of the red marker. I asked why her face was red with marker and then handed her a babywipe to get it off! We got to the grocery store and her face was now a red smeared mess and I suddenly became one of those mom's. You know, the mom I would so hastily judge back when I was single thinking "how could she let her child go out like that? give me a break!" Well who cares right?
So as we were checking out I looked her over again and laughed and asked one more time why she did it? And I quote: "I was twying to twick you. I wanted to pwetend that a bad guy bwoke into the house while you were gone and cut me up. I was going to be laying on da floor when you got home but you came in too fast."

And there you have it-I remember being like that as a child. It was always in a "ha see if you ever leave me home alone you pathetic excuse of a mother. Now you can never get me back and all because you left me home alone!" And then there would be weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth due to the loss of the favorite child... ME, yah that's right Kristy.

WEBKINZ

Ok so this might not be my proudest moment but I have something to confess- I have an addiction. Jim has actually thought of calling A&E to submit my name to the show Intervention. I never thought I had an addicting personality until Webkins became a part of my life. Basically it is the 21st century's version of Beanie Babies only these come with a secret code you log in with and then you get to play games that earn you points to buy furniture for you pets virtual home.

Well, who cares about the virtual home and buying all that crap- it's the games that have me hooked. I can't sop playing Cash Cow 2 and Bizkins word puzzle. Oh how I love them. The other night (a little after 10) Jim found me playing the games "Don't you judge me Jim!" I yelled as I embarrassingly tried to click out so as to not get caught-too late. In fact even now as I write Kirsten is waiting for us to log in so we can play the games. When the girls started they had 68 points- now they have 3,684. Should you be reading this and at some point feel the desire to check it out and play a few games the log in is piez12 and the password is apple12 (just in case).

It's just really nice to have something to fill up my stay-at-home-mom day; other than soap operas, eating ice cream, going to lunch with friends, reading People, and watching some version of a womans struggle to find her innerself starring Meredith Baxter Birney on Lifetime for Women. Ahh I love my life!

welcome to my blog

Well here it is. I am FINALLY succumbing to the ways of the world and blogging my life at the request of many. This will chronicle my daily activities and experiences as a "new" mom and the things that make me laugh-cuz that's what it's all about right? So hey to my fellow bloggers out there and haaayyy to those who are blog-stalkers (you are among friends!) And to Laurel who I harassed about starting a blog- I promise to call you personally when something REALLY cool happens :) , a special shout out to my first blogging friend Amy who was my blogging pioneer, to my dear friend Tami who taught me that blogging is a both a tribute to and an archive of love and to Brooke who inspired Tami and who I hope doesn't judge my poor grammar when she reads my blogs :)

Here's a good one:
Anna and Kirsten were getting ready for church on Sunday and Anna in her older sister way was annoying Kirst so Kirsten said "Anna, Kiss my swear word!"
